A sauce company scales on its kitchen — but also on its systems. Before pushing for growth, we invested in infrastructure.

A dedicated ERP. Our production system (the very platform this blog runs on) now holds our recipes with full ingredient breakdowns and preparation steps, tracks production batches and losses, and manages customers, orders and expenses. The whole team — technical or not — works with it daily, assisted by AI tooling.

A market database. In parallel, we've mapped the East African hospitality landscape: a curated database of more than 300 HORECA establishments across Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania — lodges, eco-lodges, hotels and restaurants — which forms the backbone of our B2B prospecting.

It's the unglamorous part of building a food brand. It's also the part that makes everything after it possible: accurate costing, reliable fulfilment, and structured growth toward our target of 500 B2B clients.
