Walk into almost any lodge or restaurant in East Africa and you'll find the same thing on the table: imported ketchup and hot sauce, shipped from halfway around the world, telling no story about the place you're actually in.
DRIP LAB was born from a simple observation: Uganda grows some of the best pineapples in the world, yet the condiments served in its hospitality industry are generic imports. We set out to change that — crafting premium, pineapple-based sauces made from locally sourced Ugandan ingredients, designed for the tables of lodges, eco-lodges and restaurants across Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
Our vision is straightforward: when guests sit down at a safari lodge, the sauce on their table should be as authentic as the landscape outside. Local sourcing, local production, local flavour — with the quality standards international hospitality demands.
This blog is our open logbook. We'll share the milestones, the decisions and the lessons as we build — in full transparency, for our clients, partners and future investors.
